Hiring a Face Painter for your Baby Shower
Congratulations! Now you are planning a memorable event to celebrate your baby and this immense life transition! Hiring a professional face painter adds excitement and creativity to your celebration. Belly painting is a fantastic way to honour this moment in your life…. and entertain any siblings or young guests at your celebration. At Living Magic Entertainment, it is our pleasure to provide professional painting services with care and tenderness.
How do I choose a design?
We can create a meaningful, custom design based on your preferences. Already have a name or nickname for baby? We can incorporate that! Have a special image or symbol that means something to you or your family? We can paint that too. Our team will work with you to make your belly painting vision come to life.
Is painting my belly safe?
Yes! We use pregnancy safe paints. All of our paints are FDA approved, professional, theatrical-grade, and hypoallergenic. We use only the highest quality paints to ensure your comfort and safety. Additionally, our painters are trained in the industry standard best practices for face and body painting hygiene.
What can I expect?
After your initial inquiry, we will reserve a date and time just for you. We will then request some design ideas (or, if you prefer, our artist will come with their own), and settle on a theme or specific design. On the day of the event, our professional belly painter will set up a designated area with all the necessary equipment. All you need to do is sit back, and feel baby respond to the gentle brush strokes!
If you have additional family members or guests being painted, they can choose their designs from our catalog, a specific sheet we have prepared with themed designs ahead of time, or request something specific from their imagination. Our artists work swiftly and skillfully to transform each person’s design into a work of art.
Mothers have described the experience as relaxing, spiritual, uplifting, celebratory, and very special.
When should I plan my belly painting session?
It is recommended to plan your belly painting session from about 30-38 weeks, or whenever you feel the most comfortable!

Your Questions, Answered

All our face paints are professional, theatrical makeup grade and hypoallergenic. We cannot guarantee individual reactions- but haven't seen any issues thus far :) We only use the highest quality materials. If you are worried, you can do a small patch test on your skin prior to a full paint design. Although allergic reaction is possible, it is very rare.

The more notice you can give us, the better. We can often accommodate last minute requests, but if you want to ensure we are available, we recommend booking as soon as you have a date and city in mind for your event.

Yes. If you would like to hire a professional photographer to come at the same time as our belly painter, you can absolutely do that. We love to collaborate! Otherwise, all you need is a comfortable seat (we find leaning back in a comfy chair or on the couch is best), and your favourite beverage to rest and relax!

A small space on your coffee, side, kitchen table or countertop will do just fine, near the area you would like to sit. If you have any concerns about space, please know that we are very flexible, or just ask us :)
