Our parties span across all ages. You know your child best. Generally, our parties are most popular for ages 1-10+ (though we have painted parents and grandparents too!) Our corporate and community events often feature designs for teens and adults, depending on the event.

The more notice you can give us, the better. We can sometimes accommodate last minute requests, but if you want to ensure we are available, we recommend booking as soon as you have a date and city in mind for your event.

The only thing we need is a table and two chairs (one for your artist, and one for the person being painted- wherever is convenient for you- it can be a side table, patio table, counter or the end of the kitchen table.) We provide everything else!

For our private event packages (including birthday parties), our rates are based on one entertainer coming to your party. This means one person will move between balloons, face painting, and magic, depending on the package you choose. In some circumstances, it may make sense to have more than one entertainer (for example, if there is a time constraint and/or a large number of guests!) Please email us to discuss this possibility.

All our face paints are professional, theatrical makeup grade and hypoallergenic. We cannot guarantee individual reactions- but haven't seen any issues thus far :) We only use the highest quality materials. If you are worried, you can do a small patch test on your child's skin prior to a full paint design. Although allergic reaction is possible, it is very rare.

Our balloons are made from Natural Rubber Latex, which is biodegradable. For more details, please see the manufacturers website here.

Because we live in wonderful British Columbia (with all of its rainy weather), we do ask that you retain a parking spot for the entertainers within 100 meters of your event venue. This is to help transport the supplies that your entertainers will need for their work. If you are in an area where pay parking is required and you have not arranged parking for the performers, please be advised that any and all parking costs incurred will be charged to the client.

We accept e-transfers, electronic funds transfers, and cheques in advance of the event date. No payment is taken at the event- unless of course, you desire to tip your entertainers! This is by no means required, but always met with gratitude.

The magic & juggling show can fit into a variety of spaces (including living rooms, community centre halls, and backyards.)

If your party is outdoors, we do require a covered area to work. Same goes for sunshine! Our artists need a bit of shade to last all party long! ;)

Absolutely! We travel all across the lower mainland. Check our travel fees section, or inquire if you don’t see your city listed.

Each of our entertainers adds their own flair to the show. Our magic show is about 15-25 minutes long (depending on the package and individual party timing) and involves 4-5 different tricks that often include magic colouring, coloured stoplight cards, magic ropes and change bags. And of course- juggling!!! We create as much audience interaction as we can and really focus on making the children feel special. The message is about magic being love, and the power of imagination and creativity. (We do not use live animals!!)

No. Our entertainers arrive wearing fun and colourful clothes, or professional all-black attire, for your festive occasion, but we are not a Princess Party company.

50% returned, 50% held for a future event, with a $25 change fee.

If you need our entertainers to stay longer, we charge $60/ half hour. This is dependent on the performer's availability (sometimes they have another booking directly after your party, and will not be able to stay.) This will need to be paid directly via e-transfer, to info@livingmagicentertainment.com. The entertainer will need to see confirmation of the transfer before staying. Otherwise, our entertainers will arrive and depart on the times listed in your confirmation.
